Experts on European issues will share their knowledge with regional businesses at a free event in Cambridge on June 11th 2009
Ever thought about exporting your products or services? Or would you like to seek out new markets and expand your activities? Come and meet the European services providers in the East of England who can help you take your business further during difficult economic times. This event will provide businesses with practical advice and information on current European opportunities and issues you should be aware of.
Who should attend?
Managing Directors, Marketing and Sales Directors and others responsible for exporting and sales activity within their organisation. Businesses thinking of sourcing products from Europe. Individuals looking at starting up a business in another country.
What will it cover?
The event consists of a range of workshop sessions covering a number of subjects. These include:
- Internationalising your business during recession: legal and contractual aspects, export support and finding partners
- Starting up in another country: Pitfalls and opportunities
- Technology transfer opportunities and IPR in Europe: Protecting your innovation, counterfeiting.
- What’s new in the EU for small businesses: The Small Business Act and other updates.
- EU Funding for Energy Efficiency Projects: Intelligent Energy and FP7 opportunities.
- Using free online European databases for the benefit of your business.
