Villiers Brothers Ltd was founded by three brothers Harry, Tim and Hugo, in 1993. The company has 16 employees and design and manufacture exquisite furniture and lighting for discerning clients who expect unique design coupled with exceptional craftsmanship, customers include architects and hotel designers both nationally and internationally. Business Link visited the business and asked MAS East to work alongside them and the client to review how best to gain integration of the management information and company manufacturing systems to improve efficiency and integrity of data.

"David Marsh at Business Link pointed out how improved IT could streamline our manufacturing processes and introduced us to Victoria Tsoi at MAS East. She was able to understand our current processes and describe them in an understandable form. Victoria then worked with us to review them, and consider what we could change to simplify how we work.

This allowed us to clearly specify our requirements and successfully complete the application for TakeITon funding to support IT improvements. Victoria is now working with us to ensure a successful implementation."

Production Director

Business Link visited to carry out an IT audit and as a result asked MAS East to visit. MAS defined the existing processes and identified where efficiency savings could be made by synchronizing data management in a more streamlined manner. Working with Business Link this model was used to specify a software system to integrate all areas of the business, from receipt of an enquiry through to dispatch of goods.

These changes will allow the business to work more efficiently and enable continued growth to be managed effectively and crucially more efficiently through good systems and robust agreed methods.

Although still progressing through the implementation stage, the company are now starting to see the potential advantages of not re-keying data in multiple software applications and the benefits of the disciplines associated with consistent data entry.

This leads to the clear interpretation of customer requirements at the outset. All these factors will allow the right staff access to the latest information.
