Over a period of five months Icarus Training has spent time reviewing how they operated and agreed key changes to improve methods. Store areas were cleared out and kanban re-order systems put in place, shortages have not occurred on these parts since introduction.
Toolkits were specified and individual tooling requirements identified, as a result staff now have access to the correct tools and have responsibility for managing these. Crucially, forward and daily planning processes have been developed to allow visual boards to show current status, forward loading and potential conflicts.
